Traditional cuisine

Serbian traditional cuisine includes treasury, original taste and smell that can only be felt in Serbia. Serbian cuisine is characterized by very diverse, strong and spicy food. It prevalent use of meat, pasta, vegetables and dairy products. Specialties that you must try in Serbia: pie, cheese pie, grilled meat, roast, Karađorđeva steak, cabbage rolls, goulash, stew, moussaka, shakers, cracklings, kajmak, ham, sour milk. Serbs drink a lot of coffee. The most popular traditional coffee, also known as Turska (Turkish) comes unfiltered, in small cups. You can order traditional coffee almost everywhere and anytime. Sometimes with traditional coffee comes ratluk, a sweet with jello & almonds.

For the national fruit in Serbia is considered plums from which is made widely known rakija- plum, that somehow became one of the symbols of Serbia. Do not go away from Serbia, not to drink at least one.
